ABOUT ME

I don't have a crazy weight loss story, a recovery story, or any impressive reason why I got into fitness. In fact, most of my fitness story comes from unrelated events.

I was a competitive cheerleader for most of my life. I ate, slept, breathed, and lived cheerleading, so I was both active and competitive. Once I called it quits with my cheerleading career my sophomore year of college, I was immediately in the gym. Partly because I was afraid I would "get fat" and partly because I didn't know what else to do with myself.

Fast forward a year and I'm returning home from Basic Training for the Army National Guard. I loved the new sense of strength and empowerment that I had developed while at training, so I decided that I wanted to get even stronger. I began my research, had a trainer write me a program, and I was hooked.

The more results I saw, the more dedicated I became. Fast forward a few years, and I now have a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences, am a Certified Personal Trainer, and have competed in my first NPC Bikini Bodybuilding Competition.

I've made my fair share of mistakes along the way. I've tried exercises that didn't align with my goals. I've over eaten, under eaten, binged, restricted, counted, weighed, etc. I've become obsessed at times and allowed it to overtake my life, but I finally feel that I am at a place in my life where fitness and nutrition are a huge part of me, but they're not all of me.

It's not easy finding this balance, and I still struggle at times, but at the end of the day, I don't want to be just some "fitspo." I want to be a daughter, a sister, an entrepreneur, a friend, a mentor, a world traveler, a concert goer, a foodie, or whatever else I feel like. I want to be the entire package.

I want to grow, motivation, inspire, and be more than just a "fitness influencer." I want to be all that I can be, and therefore, I'm #stillnotdone.
